Obviously we can't select and edit text in PDF Format.we can read only in PDF Format.If we need any part of that page or para we can't get it.(Ofcourse by converting PDF to Word).But now adobe reader version 8.1 is giving an extra "Service" is "We can select the required part of that page or book."Here is a screen shot of adobe reader8 by selecting text in PDF Format.
The part which is indicated by arrow is text selected in PDF Format.
